Our Environmental Approach
Through the implementation of policies and procedures designed around minimising the potential damage to the environment, the partners of the group have resolved, wherever possible, to use products and methods which restrict the risk of damage to employees, clients and the general public whilst keeping a caring eye on its emissions and its waste disposal techniques.
It is the policy of the Property Services SDS Group to use vehicles and plant which are limited in engine capacity to minimise emissions, which have catalytic converters fitted and which are sufficiently maintained to optimise their performance and reduce their impact on the environment.
All properties within the ownership of this Flood And Fire Restoration company are sufficiently insulated and deploy energy efficient technology such as bulbs, boilers and individual thermostat controls.
It is the policy of the company to constantly review equipment and methods with an eye to replacing them with more efficient alternatives. All waste arising from the activities of the company is either recycled or disposed of in the most environmentally friendly manner possible.
All Property Services – SDS employees are made aware of our approach to the environment, they are encouraged to recommend actions that the company could adopt in extending a positive approach to the environmental issues, both arising from its flood and fire restoration activities and all other operations.
It is the goal of the company to become carbon neutral by the year 2020.
